How can I transfer my game progress to another computer (Windows)?

You can transfer the game progress from your Windows 10 PC to your new Windows 10 PC manually by copying the folder with game saves.

1 - On your older computer, make sure you close the game this way before saving your progress to a safe place: Press the ESC button on your keyboard when you are in the City View and then confirm you want to exit the game.

2 - Then find and save the folder with your progress on a USB flash drive, or external hard drive or any file sharing service such as GoogleDrive, DropBox etc. Here is where your saves are located:

c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\AWEMGAMESLTD.CradleofEmpiresf2p_bk6jmky90x9y4

\LocalState\Awem\Cradle Of Empires

USERNAME - your Windows profile name (Marilyn for example)
AppData - a hidden folder. Please make it visible as described here: https://support.microsoft.com/help/4028316/

bk6jmky90x9y4 - this number is unique and you will have your own number

3 - Install the game from the Microsoft store on your new computer.

4 - IMPORTANT: Open the game and complete the tutorial so that a new saves folder can be generated.

5 - Close the game: Press the ESC button on your keyboard when you are in the City View and then confirm you want to exit the game.

6 - Find and delete all the files inside this folder on your new computer (Cradle of Empires folder should remain empty):

c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\AWEMGAMESLTD.CradleofEmpiresf2p_bk6jmky90x9y4\LocalState\Awem\Cradle Of Empires

7 - Then copy the files from the Cradle Of Empires folder you have saved on your USB flash drive, or external hard drive or file sharing service into the Cradle Of Empires folder that has just been generated on your new computer.
