Rebooting the device. Why do I need to do it?

Rebooting is a part of regular maintenance to keep device run smoothly. It's the number one troubleshooting tip for any device. If you have any issues with your iPad, iPhone, or iPod (it's unresponsive, apps randomly crashing, or it's simply running too slow), you should reboot it. When you reboot your device, you flush all apps from memory making it work faster and more smoothly. It's a safe process that will keep all of your data. 

 

Here is how to reboot your device (turn it off and on):

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  • Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  • After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
