How do I take a screenshot?

For iOS devices:

  1. Press the Power and Home buttons at the same time.
  2. Hold them for a couple seconds and let go.
  3. Open your Camera Roll photos, which is where screenshots are automatically saved.

For Android and Amazon Kindle devices:

  1. Press the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time.
  2. Hold them for a couple seconds and let go.
  3. Open your Photo Gallery, which is where screenshots are automatically saved.

For Windows PC:

  1. Press Windows logo key  + Shift + S. 
  2. Choose whether you want to take a screenshot of the part of the screen or full screen.
  3. Then click on the image in notification that appeared in the lower right corner of the screen. 
  4. Screenshot will open in the snipping tool so you can edit if necessary.
  5. Use the floppy disk button in the top right corner of the window to save a screenshot.

For Mac devices:

Take a screenshot of your whole screen:

  1. Press Command (⌘)-Shift-3.
  2. Find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.

Take a screenshot of part of your screen:

  1. Press Command-Shift-4. The pointer changes to a crosshair pointer.
  2. Move the crosshair pointer to where you want to start the screenshot.
  3. Drag to select an area.
  4. When you've selected the area you want, release your mouse or trackpad button. To cancel, press the **Escape (esc) key before you release the button.
  5. Find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.
